A Financial Plan is Exciting, Because it’s Your Life Plan.

When you’re planning your finances, you’re actually planning your life: how you will make the most of today, ensure a comfortable retirement, prepare for your children’s education, and leave a financial legacy for your loved ones. The intertwining of day-to-day life with your financial future is something you may not have considered. But the truth is, what you do today impacts results 10, 20, or even 50 years from now. And that’s exciting! It’s dynamic, vital, and deserves the attention of a professional you can trust to believe in you as much as you believe in yourself.

At Carole Bojan Miller, Inc., we are very pleased to offer our valued clients Financial Planning With A Difference! This philosophy starts with some very basic principles to which we adhere in all of our client relationships:

  • Clients are not generic. Their financial plans shouldn’t be, either. Plugging your numbers into a one-size-fits-all plan isn’t the way to go.

  • Specific client goals should guide the financial plan – not the other way around.

  • A financial advisor must first listen, then create a strategy unique to each individual client.

  • A financial plan is dynamic; it is not set in concrete, and must change as needs, financial situations, life stages, and goals change.

  • The job of a financial planner is that of a partner with the client and his or her other advisors – attorneys, accountants, and other specialists.

  • The only good financial plan is one that the client can use.

  • A financial advisor must be knowledgeable, confidential, creative, flexible, and empathetic with the client’s perspective in order to present the best information available for consideration.

  • As a client, you have the right to expect your financial planner to work for your best interests at all times.

  • The relationship between planner and client should be an ongoing association based on mutual trust and respect.

RESPONSIBITIES TO MY CLIENTS

As a successful financial consultant, my clients can expect the following from me:

  • I will always put the client’s best interest first – ahead of my own and that of my firm and its employees. As defined by federal law, when acting as an investment advisor to clients, I serve as a fiduciary.

  • When selecting investments, I will act as the client’s agent, seeking the best investment at the best prices at all times.

  • While neither I nor anyone can promise superior investment returns, I will provide impartial advice and act with skill, care, diligence and good judgment.

  • I will provide full and fair disclosure of all important facts, including my compensation from the providers of the products and services I offer, as well as all fees I pay to others on your behalf.

  • I will fully disclose and fairly manage, in the client’s favor, unavoidable conflicts.

  • I will provide an annual update of your Financial Road Map, which focuses on values, goals, and benchmarking progress.

  •  Quarterly delivery of progress reports and emails, which summarize assets and the progress made toward expressed goals.

  • Semi-annual discussions of “the big picture,” which cover your financial situation.

  • A review of any estate plan once every five years.

  • Ongoing attention to milestones/goals and game plan for the accomplishment of these goals.

  • As-needed assistance with questions pertaining to investments, cash and debt management.
